The Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund supports a variety of programs that provide financial incentives to help you reduce the amount of energy used in your home. Some of these programs have received national recognition from the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy.
The Fund is supported by all CL&P and UI ratepayers through the Combined Systems Benefit Charge on their electric bill and by customers of Southern Connecticut Gas Company, Yankee Gas Services Company and Connecticut Natural Gas Company through a conservation charge on gas bills.
These programs are reviewed by the Energy Conservation Management Board, approved annually by the Department of Public Utility Control and administered by CL&P and UI.
